This workshop is the first in a three part series that will take place in a professional photography studio, and conducted by a professional commercial photographer and Instructor with more than a decade photographing a wide range of products and recognized brands.
Over the three workshops, you’ll learn photography and lighting techniques that can be used both in studio, at home, or at any location, as well how to use light modifiers like soft boxes, reflectors, umbrellas, barn doors, gels, and snoots. You’ll also learn about how to set a basic exposure, and ways to adjust exposure to enhance the look of your photos.
Attendees should bring their DSLR, Mirrorless, or Point and Shoot camera that is capable of manual mode settings.
Workshop 1 – Saturday 08/19/2023 10:00am to 12:00pm
In Workshop 1, you’ll be introduced to different types of lighting such as daylight, strobe, and speedlight flashes, and constant lights. You’ll learn about the subtleties of placement and how to control lighting to achieve the correct exposure and look you desire. Attendees will learn to setup and have the opportunity to shoot still life and food.
